Coleman in, Yeley out of the No. 96 Toyotas

The Charlotte Observer

Wednesday, Aug. 06, 2008

J.J. Yeley is out as driver of the No. 96 Toyotas for Hall of Fame Racing.

The team, which announced earlier this week that P.J. Jones would drive its car at Watkins Glen this weekend, said Wednesday that Brad Coleman will take over the following weekend at Michigan.

Coleman, 20, has been under contract as a test driver for the team. He will attempt to qualify for his Sprint Cup debut in the 3M Performance 400 on Aug. 17. He has made 42 career Nationwide Series starts.

"J.J. is a talented race car driver and a great person and this was a difficult decision to make," said Tom Garfinkel, co-owner of Hall of Fame Racing. "We all share responsibility that our performance hasn't been what it needs to be, but we concluded it was time to make a change."
